The Slon Restaurant & Lounge offers a relaxed and convenient way to enjoy Ljubljana’s top-ranked food. Here, the essence of modern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine is complemented with seasonal and daily menus.

The seasonal menu rotates throughout the seasons, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients available in the farmers’ markets, and paying particular attention to unusual and locally grown items.

The classical menu is highlighted by an array of flavourful and classic foods including: cold Hours-d’oeuvres like Smoked breast of duck with salad bunch and mozzarella with fresh tomato, a wide choice of delicious home-made soups made using our authentic recipes. The warm starters include vegetarian classics like fusilli with asparagus and prawns, home-made noodles with truffles, curly noodles with spinach and ricotta cheese and risotto with ceps. We warmly recommend the following main dishes: Gilthead fillet on truffle risotto with artichoke sauce, swordfish fillet with champagne sauce, mashed potatoes with truffles and broccoli, Beefsteak with pepper crust, mashed potatoes and Merlot sauce or the light Caesar’s salad with grilled chicken fillet. Sweet delicacies include Chocolate tear, Orange pancakes filled with mascarpone and almond ice-cream and Pineapple parfait with orange sauce.

To round up this gastronomical experience, guests are invited to choose from 6 varieties of Champagne and sparkling wine, 35 varieties of white wine and 27 varieties of red wine.
